Guided Journeys —
fully hosted, departure to return.
A small premium group of around fifteen pilgrims, led by a Lumarah guide from the UK, met and looked after on the ground by our Saudi-side team. Two to three departures a year. Every detail held — so you can focus on the journey itself.
The most supported way to perform Umrah.
Some pilgrimages are best done independently — a returning pilgrim with the rites in muscle memory, who wants the freedom to set their own pace. Many are not.
A Guided Journey is for everyone else: the first-timer, the family with elderly grandparents, the revert performing their first Umrah, the nervous traveller, the pilgrim who simply doesn't want to think about logistics for two weeks. Around fifteen pilgrims, never more. A scholar walking alongside your first Tawaf. A Lumarah representative meeting you at Jeddah arrivals. Every detail, held.
It is the calmest, most carefully prepared way to perform Umrah.
For pilgrims who want peace of mind.
First-time pilgrims
Performing Umrah for the first time, with a scholar at your side throughout the rites.
Families
Children, parents, in-laws — a small group of pilgrims is the right shape for a family doing this together.
Elderly travellers
Paced walking, ground-floor rooms, companion support, and a guide who never rushes.
Reverts
Performed Umrah is the most beautiful first act of practice. We make sure it is also a calm, supported one.
Nervous travellers
Anxious about flying, unfamiliar countries, big crowds, or being away from family — a hosted group removes the unknowns.
Those without a mahram
Solo women, recently bereaved, anyone who would otherwise hesitate. You'll be in a small, trusted group.
Every Guided Journey includes all of this.
Beyond the standard Lumarah package — five-star hotels by the Haram, considered flights, the visa, ground transfers — a Guided Journey adds the hosted experience itself.
UK lead guide
A senior Lumarah team member accompanies your group from the UK departure airport to the return home. The same face, every day.
Saudi operations team
Our Saudi-side coordinators meet your group at Jeddah arrivals and run the on-the-ground logistics — drivers, transfers, hotel check-in.
Airport arrival
A representative is at the gate when you land. Immigration, baggage, transfer to your hotel — all walked through with you.
Makkah orientation
A private 90-minute orientation in Makkah — masjid layout, the safest places to break Ihram, walking routes from the hotel, etiquette of the Mataf.
Umrah walkthrough
A qualified scholar walks alongside your group through the first Umrah — Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i. Calm, quietly explained, every question answered.
Madinah guidance
Etiquette of the Rawdah, location of the Prophet ﷺ's grave, ziyarah of Baqi, the historical sites worth visiting in the city.
Group ziyarat
Scholar-led visits to the historical sites in Makkah and Madinah. No script-readers, no Wikipedia summaries.
Companion support
Elderly assistance, mobility help, dietary support — built into the experience by default. No add-on, no upcharge.
